Tournaments, Tournaments, and More Tournaments!

We’ve got news on upcoming tournaments, local, regional, and national!

To begin with, the first monthly tournament of the Columbus Backgammon Club in 2012 is just 2 weeks away! at 1:00PM on March 4th, 2012 at the Max & Erma’s restaurant in Reynoldsburg. Registration starts at 12:30PM, and you are encouraged to come out early to have lunch and support the restaurant. More information about the tournament format can be found at our website, http://www.columbusbg.org.

If possible, please RSVP to jason@columbusbg.org if you intend to be there. This is not a pre-registration, but rather a way to get a rough count of the expected number of people as a courtesy to our host.

2012 Ohio Valley Cup Challenge

The Cincinnati Backgammon Players Club is hosting the 2012 Ohio Valley Cup Challenge and other events during the weekend of April 28th and 29th. We have been invited to field a 6-person team to compete with 3 other clubs for bragging rights and a traveling trophy. Information on all events that weekend can be found here:

The 6 highest ranked players in the Columbus Backgammon Club’s 2012 Masters Points standings after the April Monthly Tournament who have the desire to represent the club at the tournament will be named to the team.
