April Monthly Tournament<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our April monthly tournament of the Columbus Backgammon Club in 2012 will be held in 2 weeks at 1:00PM on April 1st, 2012 at the Max & Erma’s restaurant in Reynoldsburg. The address is:<\/p>\n

Registration starts at 12:30PM, and you are encouraged to come out early to have lunch and support the restaurant. More information about the tournament format can be found at our website, http:\/\/www.columbusbg.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If possible, please RSVP<\/span><\/big> to jason@columbusbg.org<\/a> if you intend to be there. This is not a pre-registration<\/span>, but rather a way to get a rough count of the expected number of people as a courtesy to our host.<\/p>\n

Columbus Backgammon Club entered in the USBGF National Club Team Championship<\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

The lineup for the team representing the Columbus Backgammon Club has been determined and entered in the USBGF National Club Team Championship. The team, Ready for Prime Time<\/strong>, consists of the following members:<\/p>\n

1st seed – Stick Rice
\n2nd seed – Chris Yep
\n3rd seed – Mary Hickey
\nAlternate – Jason Marshall<\/p>\n

Overall, it is a very strong entry. Play starts at the end of the month, and updates on the progress of the team will be sent out via this newsletter.<\/p>\n

2012 Ohio Valley Cup Challenge<\/span><\/h3>\n

Just a reminder that the Cincinnati Backgammon Players Club is hosting the 2012 Ohio Valley Cup Challenge and other events during the weekend of April 28th and 29th. We have been invited to field a 6-person team to compete with 3 other clubs for bragging rights and a traveling trophy. Information on all events that weekend can be found here:<\/p>\n
