We had enough players this month for a normal bracket tournament, including newcomer John Bath<\/b>. John did well enough to earn a place in the final against eventual overall winner Mike Rezai<\/b>, and then a consolation final victory against Bob Hickey<\/b> for a second place finish!Mike’s win allowed him to gain 10 points on Bob in the Masters Points race, coming to within 36 points.<\/p>\n
Congratulations to Mike on his win this month, and welcome to John! The next monthly tournament will be held on September 8th. I’d like us to try to get our numbers up again for the next tournament. We had a strong start to the year, and have been the victim of the summer doldrums as of later. Come on out if you haven’t made it out for a few months!<\/p>\n
